Peach Ice Cream-No Eggs No Churn Recipe

No Eggs No churn peach ice cream is the easiest home made ice cream with only 5 ingredients. I have used fresh peaches and no artificial ingredients, color or preservatives.

Anyone who has driven in rural south Georgia during summer has probably seen lots of roadside stands selling peach Ice cream and baskets of fresh peaches. Some even invite you to pick out fresh peaches. The first time I ate peach ice cream was about 20 years back when we had first moved to south Georgia.

Everyone kept talking about this ‘must try peach ice cream’ in a place called Barney,GA which was 20 minutes from town. It was certainly an experience-Fresh churned peach ice cream, on a hot summer day, sitting under a tree-almost too idyllic! Here is the facebook page link of Burton Brooks Peach Orchard. If you are ever passing by do stop by for some ice cream.

Just a few days back a few of my friends were hanging out over lunch and talking about the delicious ice cream. I had planned on trying out a no churn Berry ice cream for my blog. But all this talk about this cute little orchard in Barney and their famous ice cream made the blogger in me want to try it out.

Straight from lunch, I headed out to buy the peaches and the ingredients and I must say it turned out delicious! I used the standard base that I used for Kulfi and Mango Kulfi and just replaced the mango pulp with pureed peaches.  The ice cream turned out perfect, smooth creamy and NO ice crystals!

Here is the written recipe followed by the step by step pictorial one-

No Eggs No churn peach ice cream is the easiest home made ice cream with only 5 ingredients.

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 7 minutes
Total Time 22 minutes

Servings 1 .5 quart

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds Fresh peaches washed,peeled and diced(I used 3 large)
  • 1 pint/16 oz/473 ml Heavy Whipping Cream chilled
  • 1 14 oz/356 grams can Condensed milk
  • 5 tbsp confectioners sugar
  • 1 tbsp Milk powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Peel, remove the seed and dice the peaches. Add Confectioners sugar and set aside for 20 minutes to macerate.
  • Cook the peaches in a heavy bottom steel pan on medium high for 6-7 minutes(Press a piece of peach with a fork, if it squishes easily, peaches are done)
  • Cool the peaches completely and mash with a fork, we DONT want a smooth puree
  • Save 4 tbsp of the peaches for swirling
  • In a bowl, whip cream on medium till soft peaks form
  • Add Condensed milk, vanilla extract, milk powder and mix lowest speed
  • Fold in the mashed/pureed peaches and pour into a metal loaf pan
  • Use the remaining peaches for swirling on top
  • Freeze overnight
  • Let the ice cream thaw on the counter for 15 minutes before scooping
  • Serve with fresh sliced peaches

Notes

I used 3 large peaches(1.5 pounds) though I felt later I could have used more. I have used vanilla extract and no food coloring. You can use Peach Extract and add some yellow color. Be careful while whipping cream,we do not want it to turn to butter. Cover with cling wrap or foil to avoid ice crystals from forming. Leaving the ice cream on the counter for 15-20 minutes before serving makes the ice cream easier to scoop.
