Total Time 2 minutes
Servings 1 /2 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup/125 ml Milk
  • 1 tsp yogurt/dahi/curd
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2-3 drops of ghee
  • Optional-Tulsi leaves ganga jal,jaggery/nuts/saffron/chironji

Instructions

  • In a shallow bowl mix the five ingredients
  • Honey takes a few minutes to mix in and the ghee will float on top
  • Add any optional ingredients if you want,I don't add anything except Tulsi leaves

Notes

This is the traditional recipe as made in my family. Ganga jal should be one of the five ingredients but since I live in the US and don't have access to Ganga Jal, I use both sugar and honey to make up the five ingredients. If you have Ganga Jal put a spoonful of it. I just add a few drops of ghee as it floats on top(being lighter than milk). Adding nuts, saffron, chironji is optional.
