1/2of a small/medium onionchopped fine(approx 1/2 cup)
1/2cupfinely diced Red Peppersor any pepper
1tspgreen chiliesminced
1tspgingerminced
2tsplemon juice
1/2tspcoriander seedspounded coarsely
salt as per taste
Ghee/oil for cooking
Instructions
To the ground Oatmeal, add chopped onions,peppers,ginger,green chilies and coriander seeds.
In another bowl, peel and add Avocados. Add salt and lemon juice and mash well with a fork.
Mix the mashed Avocado to the Oatmeal mixture and make into a smooth dough(feels like a soft Aloo tikki dough). DO NOT ADD ANY WATER. The Avocados are used to bind the oatmeal and veggies.
Heat the Appe Pan, put a few drops of ghee/oil into the cavities.
Use wet hands to make small discs and place in the Appe pan. Cover and cook on medium till brown on one side. Flip over and add ghee/oil and brown the other side as well.
