How to make Ghee/Clarified Butter in a crockpot-with step by step pictures

Ingredients
  

  • Unsalted Butter-64 oz
  • 6 Quart Crockpot
  • Sieve/ muslin cloth/cheese cloth

Instructions
 

  • Place Unsalted Butter in a crockpot and turn it on HIGH and leave it UNCOVERED.
  • You will know its ready when the foam/scum on top starts turning brown and the solids at the bottom start to brown too.
  • Crockpots vary, so see what works for you, for me for 64oz of butter, it took about 5 hours. Last 30 Minutes start paying attention.
  • After it cools completely, but is still in melted state, Use a sieve/cheesecloth to strain the Ghee into a jar.
