Karwa chauth ki thali with Chooris,Bindis, Sindoor and Atte ka Diya

A beautiful thali made with bangles,bindis and sindoor for karwa Chauth. A fun and easy project for karwa Chauth.

Ingredients
  

  • Any plate thali or Red Charger(I used a Red Charger)
  • Bangles
  • Bindis
  • Pearls/stones/glitter
  • Atta/Wholewheat for making Diya
  • Super Glue/Glue gun I used hot glue gun
  • Old plastic sheet/newspaper for protecting floor/table

Instructions
 

  • If you don't have a Red Charger, just use a Steel plate/thali and cover it with red paper or fabric. I got mine from Michaels.
  • Choose the bangles that you want to use, they should contrast well with the background. place them without using glue to see what pattern you like.
  • Once you finalise the pattern, start gluing the first layer of bangles.
  • Place the second contrasting layer on top and glue in place.
  • Decide how big your Diya is going to be, make it and glue it in place. I used Sindoor to color it red and Bindis for decoration.
  • Use pearls,stones, glitter to decorate the rest of the plate.

Notes

Get creative, you can make 'Swastik' in the middle of the plate or on the sides.
You can write 'Om'
You can use fake/fresh flowers
You can write initials of you and your loved one.
Involve your children, mother, mother in law, sisters, friends and make it as a fun thing to do on Karwa chauth day, it makes the day go by faster!
